Sam gets Asked to the Sadie Hawkins Dance

Okay so this evening sitting at the dinner table there is a crazy ring of the door bell.  Micah and I knew it had to be for Sam so we sent him to the front door. And to his surprise this is what he found!  There was a twenty-five pound bag of flour with a note that read "Dig through the flour to see who wants to take you to Sadies?"

Micah and Sam quickly opened the bag of flour and started to shift flour threw the kitchen strainer only to find there was nothing in the bag and  what a BIGGER surprise when I pointed out that the bag had never been opened and resealed. :)

The next evening after the Varsity Football game against Clearfield Sam was given a bouquet of flowers with a tag that said, "Sam!  Roses are red, Violets are blue, I must have grabbed the wrong 'flour', but I would love to go to Sadie's with you!  Kayla"

SHS JV vs. Clearfield

I admit I don't know a darn thing about Football and I don't care - I just love High School Football games!!  This year has turned out to have an extra added bonus since Sam has been playing for the JV team this year.

I still have a hard time watching Sam wrap up around some of these guys knowing that his shoulder is not 100%, but I also know how hard he has worked for the last year for the opportunity to play.

Sibling Time in Salt Lake City

Kaylab and Preston got out of school early today, we were going to Salt Lake City to go see their two brothers, Jordan and Jacob and sister Shaylee.  Preston has not seen the three of them in over a year or two and for Kaylab it has been since March of this year.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at IHOP thanks to Shaylee and Jacob's parents and then headed over to a nearby park to spend sometime together until they needed to head back home to Southern Utah.

Before we left to come home the kids made sure to get some pictures together.

SHS JV vs. Roy Royal's

Football Posters

Preston Williams #65
Syracuse Storms - Jr Pee Wee
Sliver Team

Kaylab Williams #44
Syracuse Storms - JR Midgets
Black Team

One of the parents on Preston's team had a sister who made these posters for the football players.
And to make life easier for myself and those around me
I went ahead and let her take the photos and create the posters for the boys bedroom.
It's not too bad, but I would of loved to see the photos edited before printing them.

SHS - Homecoming Dance

Kaylab's Cell Project

Oh  . . . the joys of Junior High School!!

Kaylab came home with a Science Project to create two cells; an animal cell and a plant cell. This is such a Micah thing To Do - Kaylab and him found food items from the pantry to represent each of the items in a cell and then had to label each of them.

Homecoming 2010 - SHS Titans vs Fremont Sliverwolves (21-24)

It was an awesome game up until it went into over time tied 21-21 . . .  This year our Homecoming Game was against Roy Royals.

This game was a hard one for m,e not only was Micah working that night, but I was sitting there remembering last year's Homecoming and it hit me that I missed Chaze!  It was this time last year that Micah and I were sitting in the stands with friends, and Chaze's parents.

Syracuse Storms vs. West Point Falcons

This is a ROUGH and TOUGH game for the Syracuse Storms; I thought Preston was going to pop a blood vessel he was so upset playing.  I even had to remind him that it is not good sportsmanship to throw his football helmet.  It ended up being a tough loss for the boys; BETTER LOCK NEXT TIME!!

She said Yes, Homecoming 2010

The best part of Sam adventure was when the fireman asked Sam for the password - Sam looked to me for the ANSWER!  Seriously  . . .
I didn't send him on the hunt.  If I did it would of been for him to deep clean his room to get a PRIZE :)

The answer was located at the Syracuse Fire Department

Sam askes Kayla to Homecoming

Sam came to me and asked if he could ask a girl at school to Homecoming - Micah and I had met Kayla several times and he seemed rather fond of her so I was happy to help him in anyway I could.

Sam's Idea was to give Kayla a note that read "It would break my heart if you didn't say yes to go with me to Homecoming!" With the help of a nearby neighbor and great friend, Thanks Sadie - Sam got a cute mail box and filled it with hearts that had cute little sayings and the message was hidden in the delivery tag.

SHS Titans vs Viewmount Vikings (28-10)

Can you believe it?  First home game for the Syracuse Titans!!!
I had mixed emotions about the first home game, it was this time last year that Micah and I welcomed Sam and Chaze into our home. I can't help it -the thought that this would be the last first football for Micah and I until a new youth would come into our home and want to play for the TITANS!!! And of course realizing Chaze has been home for nearly a year now and that Sam will gone this time next year.

It was also nice to hang out with the Mills again for our Friday evening routine . . . TOO BAD SHS seems to have raised the prices so much to make it less than a family fun event everyone could afford.

I did take this chance to watch the game and even excited that I was able to follow along and watch the Titans beat Viewmount 28-10.  Way to Go Titans!

Sam's 1st SHS Titan Football Game

Syracuse vs. Viewmount (28 - 7)
Sam is #68 for Syracuse Titans
Well it started off as a NOT so great 2010 Football Season when Sam was injured during two-a-days in August and we thought for sure he was going to out for the season.  In fact, Micah and I were a bit worried he was striving to become the Water-Boy, however, we got some great news after meeting with Sam's Ortho that he has a SLAP Tear in his right shoulder.

It was the BEST news we could ask for!!

After several week of physical therapy (3 days a week) and a splint Sam was given the GREEN light to start working on building the strength in his arm.  And a week later here he is in his FIRST Football Game of the season!!  We are so excited for you Sam and so very proud of you -  Keep up the great work!!!
